So I ordered a Moleskine notepad…

… and feeling a little underwhelmed. It is hand made decently but for £12.50, I can’t shake off the feeling that I overpaid somewhere along the line. Of course, I then find out that Rhodia do a smiler pad for £4 cheaper. Ah well, considering my last pad lasted for almost 2 years, I doubt I brood about spending a little.

On a side note, a colleague recommended me a decent site for property hunting, Globrix. It has some decent interactive features such as showing all search results on a map which is incredibly handy.

Battle of the notepads

Posted in Personal by yaustar on July 31, 2008

I was intrigued by a post on Lifehacker where it was asking their readers to vote what they use for note taking. There was little surprise that pen and paper was a firm favourite especially after looking at the poll results in their follow up post.

What I was surprised about is the fact that there was a common brand of notepads that readers was voting for, the Moleskine and Rhodia range. It was mentioned enough for me to consider buying one (or a few) to see what fuss is all about since I am also firm believer in pen and paper methods for taking notes and dumping thoughts. Cheap, portable and there is little limit to what you can put on paper.

The problem now is deciding which brand to buy…

On a side note, I got a chance to go the Develop GamesEdu Expo on Tuesday. I will write up another post later when I get the time as it will be mammoth due to sheer amount of content given on the day.
