Round of Events over ther past week…
The Gamecube port went well [read: REALLY well], managed to port everything including saving and loading of save games off the memory card and Jon was impressed with the result. The group may be looking to take the game further with Steve Ince so we see how that goes.

The E3 conferences for the big 3 are over and now looking forward to get my hands on a Nintendo Wii especially if the price point is going to be what the rumours say.
Lots of Guitar Heroes playing in the labs and big projector.
As for the Weekend break, for the first time this year I actually went out for a change and watched a few bands at the White room in Hull and then Spiders for cheap drinks.
Where does that leave me now? The actual taught part of the course is now over and the next three weeks will be spent on project work and looking for jobs ideally. There are a few smaller projects that I would like to get round to given the resources and time. Most of watch involve building up small engines for use with SDL and OpenGL or using third party libraries such as Ogre3D and Boost.
Pictures to follow…
Current Progress
At the moment, I am working on the group project porting our game to the Gamecube. Currently messing around with the memory card reader code on the Gamecube and have managed to get some basic operations done with it. While I can’t read or write to it yet, I can mount/unmount and create/delete files on it.
Also had my assignment presentations on Friday which went ok-ish except my server kept crashing
. It managed to survive enough to show the basic disconnection, connection and reconnection functionality though…
I am also researching and reading up on development of game engines and the SDL API coming up with some ideas for my final semester project.
